Emergency and Disaster Management teams have been dispatched to affected areas as heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in parts of Mpumalanga, eastern South Africa.

Vehicles, shops, roads, and buildings have been damaged due to clogged drainage system in Ermelo.

On Monday, parts of the Kruger National Park were flooded after rivers and dams burst their banks. Tropical storm Eloise brought with it heavy downpours and strong winds resulting in flooding.

The representative of the Mayor of Mpumalanga is holding an emergency meeting with relevant stakeholders to help check the effects of the flooding.
