Coton Sport of Garoua drag Asante Kotoko to CAF

 Cameroonian side Coton Sport de Garoua have launched a formal complaint against Asante Kotoko over claims of ” irregularities” in the match day squad concerning Kwame Bonsu.

Coton allege that the player was used in an unqualified jersey in their two-legged encounter in the playoff phase of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Reports in local media say the Cameroonian Football Federation together with the leadership of Coton Sport have petitioned CAF to sanction Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors recorded a 5-3 aggregate win over the Cameroonian side to secure qualification to the group stage of the competition.

Kotoko have been paired in Group C with Zambian sides Nkana FC and Zesco United as well as Sudanese side Al Hilal Omdurman.
