Court Remands 34 People for Street Trading on Expressway

A magistrates’ court in Bolade Oshodi on Tuesday remanded 34 individuals in prison until July 22, 2025, for engaging in street trading along the median of Alaba Rago in Ojo, situated on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

The arrested people, comprising 32 men and 2 women, were apprehended over the weekend during a joint operation carried out by officials of the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) task force and the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).

The operation aimed to clear the road median, which had been overtaken by illegal traders erecting makeshift structures.
