Davido’s “IF” Earns RIAA Gold Award in the U.S.

Nigerian musician, Davido has announced that his hit single “IF” has hit gold status in the United States, after he sold 500,000 records of the solo record.

The Gold award, given to songs and albums that sell 500,000 records is Davido’s second and are the only two afrobeat songs from Africa to hit the landmark. Davido revealed the latest feat on his social media handles.

The artiste took to his Twitter page on Wednesday to announce his new achievement.

The certification was done on the 12th of February, less than a year after his “Fall” single also earned the gold status.
