A 69-year-old British grandmother, Lindsay Sandiford, has returned to the UK after being on death row in Indonesia for over a decade.
Sandiford was convicted of drug trafficking in Bali in 2013 after being caught in 2012 with an estimated $2.14 million worth of cocaine.
She, along with another inmate, Shahab Shahabadi, was repatriated on humanitarian grounds due to severe, pre-existing health problems.

The transfer was made possible by a recent bilateral agreement between the UK and Indonesia, which has historically maintained some of the world’s toughest anti-drug laws.
Indonesian officials confirmed that the UK government will now be responsible for the legal decisions and care of the repatriated individuals.
This move is part of a recent trend by the Indonesian government to transfer high-profile foreign detainees.
