The Real Madrid forward has now scored in four consecutive matches, becoming the first Moroccan player to achieve this feat in AFCON history.
His 64th-minute winner came during a period of intense pressure from the host nation, which had previously seen a goal disallowed for offside and a free-kick strike the woodwork.
The winning goal was assisted by PSG’s Achraf Hakimi, who made a significant impact in his first start since returning from a serious ankle injury.

Despite missing key midfielder Azzedine Ounahi due to injury, Morocco extended their unbeaten streak to 23 matches.
Tanzania fought bravely and had early opportunities through Saimon Msuva and Feisal Salum, but they could not overcome a Morocco side ranked over 100 places above them.
The Atlas Lions now progress to a quarter-final clash against either South Africa or Cameroon.
