Slovenian basketball player Luka Doncic delivered a spectacular performance on Saturday night, sinking a baseline jumper with just 0.5 seconds left in overtime to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 127–125 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
The Slovenian superstar finished the night with a triple-double, recording 30 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds.
His clutch shot capped a dramatic comeback and secured the Lakers’ fifth consecutive win, moving them into third place in the Western Conference standings.
The game reached overtime thanks to a high-stakes play by Austin Reaves, who led all scorers with 32 points.
With only 1.9 seconds remaining in regulation and the Lakers trailing by two, Reaves intentionally missed his second free throw, grabbed his own rebound, and converted a tying layup.

The Nuggets, led by Nikola Jokic’s own triple-double of 24 points, 16 rebounds, and 14 assists, were unable to regain their momentum in the closing seconds of the extra period after Doncic’s step-back heroics.
Elsewhere in the league, Victor Wembanyama continued his dominant form, leading the San Antonio Spurs to a 115–102 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
Wembanyama posted 32 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists, keeping the Spurs just three games behind the first-place Oklahoma City Thunder.
Other notable results included the Atlanta Hawks extending their winning streak to nine games by defeating Milwaukee, while the Orlando Magic snapped the Miami Heat’s seven-game run with a narrow 121–117 road victory.
