President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of ongoing reforms, saying meaningful national transformation can only be achieved through collective sacrifice.
In his Easter message to Nigerians on Friday, Tinubu reflected on the spiritual meaning of the season, describing it as a reminder of resilience, sacrifice, and victory over hardship, values he said are also essential for nation-building. He noted that the current economic reforms, though difficult, were deliberately designed to deliver long-term prosperity.
According to him, the administration remains committed to steering the country toward shared growth despite present challenges.
“The ongoing reforms, though demanding in their immediate impact, have been carefully put together and backed by a strong commitment to take us to a shared prosperity.

“As I have often said, true transformation cannot be achieved without sacrifice, and history affirms that enduring progress is often forged in moments such as these,” he said.
He also acknowledged the country’s security and economic difficulties, commending the Armed Forces for their efforts against terrorism and banditry, while assuring that the government is strengthening both local capacity and international partnerships to respond more effectively.
Tinubu urged Nigerians to embrace unity, civic responsibility, and peaceful engagement, especially as the country moves closer to another election period, stressing that democracy depends on responsible participation.
He added that despite current pressures, there are signs of progress in key economic indicators, expressing optimism that a “new dawn” is approaching.
The president thanked Nigerians for their continued trust and support, encouraging them to remain committed to the country’s development and stability.
