Authorities in eastern Libya on Tuesday ordered a European Union (EU) commissioner and ministers from three member states to immediately leave the main city of Benghazi, citing a “flagrant breach of diplomatic norms.”
The delegation had arrived for planned talks but were told their visit was cancelled and they must “leave Libyan territory immediately.”

The EU delegation had reportedly flown to Benghazi from the Libyan capital, Tripoli, where they had earlier held discussions with the UN-backed Government of National Unity.
