Operatives from the Sokoto Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 13 individuals suspected of internet fraud in Sokoto, Sokoto State.
The arrests occurred on Saturday in the Gidan Yaro and Dandima areas, based on credible intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in internet-related offenses, according to an official statement from the EFCC released on Monday via X.
The agency noted that all the suspects claimed to be students at Usman Danfodio University Sokoto.
They will be charged in court once investigations are complete.
