The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said that Minister Badr Abdelatty went to Washington on Sunday to meet with members of Congress and high-ranking officials from the new Trump administration.
The visit was intended “to boost bilateral relations and strategic partnership between Egypt and the US” and will involve “consultations on regional developments,” according to a statement from the ministry.
