Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria — widely recognised as the country’s leading civic movement and one of the continent’s strongest champions of democratic accountability — will commemorate 15 years of energising citizens and reshaping public life. The anniversary will be marked with a flagship event scheduled for December 10, 2025, in Lagos.
Under the theme “Footprints & Frontlines,” the celebration reflects both the legacy and the forward motion of the organisation’s work. “Footprints” evoke the path EiE has carved across Nigeria’s civic space — protests that stirred national consciousness, campaigns that drove voter awareness, policy advocacy that challenged the status quo, radio town halls that elevated local voices, civic tech innovations that simplified participation, and youth-centred mobilisation that reshaped engagement nationwide. These threads weave together fifteen years of Nigerians boldly speaking up, organising, and insisting on better governance.
“Frontlines,” on the other hand, highlight the spaces where nation-building continues daily — classrooms, courtrooms, markets, studios, and online spheres — the countless arenas in which Nigerians push for progress through service, imagination, and principled action.
The event will blend insight with reflection, featuring Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, as keynote speaker. Media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Arise News anchor Ayo Mairo-Ese will serve as hosts, setting the stage for a gathering designed to invigorate civic energy and deepen the culture of accountability in Africa’s largest democracy. Other speakers expected to attend include, Oby Ezekwesili, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, Bishop Mathew Kukah, Mobolaji Johnson, Jude MI Abaga, Frank Aigbogun and Fola Adeola.

Attendees will also witness the premiere of a compelling documentary capturing EiE Nigeria’s fifteen-year story — a chronicle of citizen mobilisation, public scrutiny of power, and a renewed vision of civic participation. The celebration will further honour EiE’s Executive Director, Opeyemi Adamolekun, whose leadership over the past decade and a half has become emblematic of modern civic bravery and citizen-driven accountability in Nigeria.
