Former presidential aide, Dr. Doyin Okupe, has reportedly passed away at the age of 72.
Okupe, a prominent Nigerian politician, died on Friday morning after a prolonged battle with a suspected cancer-related illness.
In 2022, he was appointed Director-General of the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign for the 2023 election but later stepped down following a court conviction for alleged money laundering.
Sources close to the family reveal that he had been critically ill in the weeks leading up to his passing.
