Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has criticised the constant transfer speculation surrounding his players, calling it a disaster for the team. Maresca’s side has struggled in recent weeks, failing to win any of their last five Premier League matches, which has seen them drop out of the top four.
Maresca highlighted how rumours linking players to move away from Stamford Bridge have unsettled his squad. Players like Renato Veiga, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Christopher Nkunku, and Tosin Adarabioyo have all been the subject of transfer speculation, while Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Cesare Casadei have been told they can leave.

Ahead of Monday’s match against Wolves, Maresca stated that off-pitch distractions were impacting the team’s focus. “It’s a disaster because of so many noises that I don’t think help us,” he said, acknowledging that speculation around players’ futures inevitably affects their concentration.
Chelsea are currently 10 points behind league leaders Liverpool, but Maresca remains satisfied with his team’s performances, despite their recent poor run.
Top-scorer Cole Palmer and several other key players, including Levi Colwill and Romeo Lavia, are doubts for the Wolves game due to injuries sustained in a recent 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
