Fire Destroys Seven Shops in Kwara Market Blaze

A fire broke out on Friday night at Olusola Saraki Market in the Ita-Amo region of Ilorin West Local Government in Kwara State, destroying products worth millions of naira.

According to Kwara State Fire Service, the fire affected seven of the market’s 269 establishments. Clothing, groceries, mineral water, and meat were among the items burned.

The Fire Service attributed the incident to a power surge caused by fluctuating supply from the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), as reported by market security personnel.
