Israeli airstrikes on a designated humanitarian safe zone in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, have killed five Palestinian children and injured ten others, most of them minors, according to medical sources .
The attack, reportedly carried out by an Israeli drone, targeted tents sheltering displaced civilians in the desolate coastal area. Eyewitnesses described the strikes as indiscriminate, with locals resorting to using animal-drawn carts to transport the injured to Nasser Medical Hospital.
Despite Al-Mawasi being labelled a safe zone by the Israeli military, the area has faced repeated bombings, resulting in the deaths and injuries of hundreds of civilians, including women and children.
