Barcelona coach Hansi Flick urged his players to display more intensity and “fight” as the team struggles with inconsistency and a major injury crisis during his second term.
The Catalan club currently sits five points behind Real Madrid in La Liga and recently drew 3-3 with Club Brugge in the Champions League.
Ahead of their match against Celta Vigo, Flick confirmed the absence of several key players, including Raphinha, Pedri, and Gavi, and noted that Jules Kounde is also a doubt.

While acknowledging the injuries are a significant “fact,” he insisted they aren’t an “excuse” for poor performance.
The coach stressed that until the key players return to full fitness, the current squad must compete harder, referencing a visible lack of fight in the midweek draw.
In better news, 18-year-old star Lamine Yamal is recovering well from a groin issue thanks to improved training discipline.
Flick specifically called on the Spanish national team coach to carefully manage Yamal’s workload during the upcoming international break to prevent further aggravation of the injury.
