Four Killed, 13 Injured in Landslide in Algeria’s Oran City

Four people have died and 13 others were injured after a landslide struck the western Algerian city of Oran, officials confirmed on Sunday.

The landslide occurred late on Saturday in the Hai Essanouber district, the country’s civil defence agency reported. Victims ranged in age from five to 43 years, while the injured — aged between 12 and 75 — suffered a range of injuries.

Authorities said the landslide led to the collapse of five tin houses, but no cause for the disaster has yet been given.
