FUDMA Students Protest Killing of Colleague in Katsina

Students of the Federal University, Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina state took to the streets again on Monday morning, protesting the alleged killing of their colleague by members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) on Sunday.

The demonstration comes despite assurances from the university’s Vice-Chancellor, who met with the students a day earlier to express the institution’s regret over the incident.

He had pledged that steps were being taken to ensure justice and hold those responsible to account.

However, some students insist this is not an isolated case, alleging that CJTF personnel have been involved in similar incidents in Dutsinma in the past.

They are demanding firm action to put an end to what they describe as repeated extrajudicial killings in the area.
