Global health consultant, Dubem Gbujie, has said that a new generation of Africans is transforming the continent’s cultural heritage into a global brand while simultaneously demanding better leadership at home..

Speaking at News Central TV’s Town Hall on Thursday, he stated that today’s youth, who never experienced conflicts like the Biafran War, are building on the vision of pioneers like Fela Kuti to achieve global success.

Gbujie highlighted artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido as prime examples.

He said these young leaders possess a “global best practices mentality”, refusing to remain stagnant and instead seeking to reshape their realities.

He lamented that many of the continent’s best minds—from scientists and doctors to entrepreneurs—are leaving Africa to become “exceptional people” elsewhere because leaders fail to create a conducive environment.

According to Gbujie, this brain drain is a direct result of a refusal by leaders to involve young people in decisions that affect not only them but future generations.

Gbujie concluded by stating that for Africa to truly evolve, it must embrace global best practices and effective communication and accept the truth about its challenges.

He cautioned that as long as this does not happen, young people will continue to find alternatives to their home countries.
