London club Tottenham has acquired the services of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham and is on the verge of signing Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White in a dual deal exceeding £100 million ($136 million).
Kudus is the first player to transfer from the Hammers to their rivals, Spurs, since 2011, with the deal reportedly costing £55 million.
Gibbs-White is expected to follow suit as Spurs have triggered the £60 million buyout clause in his contract with Forest.
This double acquisition signifies the beginning of the Thomas Frank era at Tottenham, who took over from Ange Postecoglou last month, despite the Australian leading the team to win the Europa League and ending a 17-year trophy drought for the club. The victory over Manchester United in the final in Bilbao also guaranteed Spurs direct qualification for the Champions League.
“I have always wanted to play at the highest level,” the Ghanaian international said on the Tottenham website.
“How big the club is, the history, and the Champions League as well, so it is a big moment. I am finally here and am very happy. I can’t wait to start.
Kudus said that the opportunity to compete in Europe’s top competition and Frank’s success in developing talent at Brentford were significant reasons for his move.

Since moving from Ajax for £38 million two years ago, Kudus has netted 19 goals in 80 appearances for West Ham.
Gibbs-White had been previously linked with Manchester City after he played a key role in Forest finishing seventh in the Premier League last season. He scored seven goals and provided ten assists in 34 league matches, earning senior England call-ups under both Lee Carsley and Thomas Tuchel.
His transfer represents the second major loss for Forest in just a few days, with Anthony Elanga poised to join Newcastle in a £55 million deal.
Gibbs-White joined Forest from Wolves in 2022 for an initial fee of £25 million, which could increase to £42.5 million with add-ons.
