The Nigerian government has released a list of 48 individuals and organisations suspected of involvement in terrorism financing activities in Nigeria.

The publication was issued on Saturday by the Nigeria Sanctions Committee (NIGSAC).

According to the list, some of those named are associated with proscribed organisations, including the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB), Ansaru and the Islamic State West Africa Province(ISWAP)

The committee said the designation forms part of ongoing efforts to disrupt financial support structures linked to terrorism in the country.
