Governor Zulum Condemns Deadly Boko Haram Attack

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has condemned the recent terrorist attack on the Dumba community near Baga in Kukawa Local Government Area of the state.

The assault, carried out by Boko Haram and ISWAP militants, left over 40 farmers and fishermen dead on Sunday.

The governor urged Operation Hadin Kai to hunt down the perpetrators and eliminate their hideouts in the Lake Chad region.

In a statement by Usman Tar, the state’s Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Zulum extended condolences to the victims’ families and vowed to locate the missing, assuring a thorough investigation.

The governor cautioned residents to remain within designated safety zones, as straying into unclear areas poses risks from both terrorists and landmines.

He called on the armed forces to act decisively against those responsible for “this act of violence.”
