Grace Period Extended for Saudi Arabia Visitors

Saudi Arabia has extended the grace period for individuals with expired visit visas by an extra 30 days, enabling them to leave the country legally without facing additional penalties, according to a statement shared on X by the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat)

The extension becomes effective on July 26, 2025, and it applies to all categories of visit visas that have lapsed.

The extension provides visitors with expired visas with additional time to depart Saudi Arabia without incurring legal repercussions, as long as they clear any applicable fines and fees in line with existing regulations.

Saudi officials have urged all visitors with lapsed visas to utilise the extension and finalise their exit arrangements promptly. Not adhering to this may result in legal measures or increased penalties.

Saudi Arabia issues various types of visit visas, spanning family, business, and tourism categories. Overstaying such visas is regarded as a violation of Saudi residency and travel laws.

The grace period presents a legitimate option for those who missed the expiration date, particularly during times of religious or seasonal travel.
