Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for September after an outstanding run of form.
The Norwegian forward scored five goals and provided one assist across the month, leading City’s unbeaten streak with a series of decisive performances.
Haaland began September with a superb brace in the 3–0 victory over Manchester United at the Etihad, before netting a precise equaliser in the 1–1 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates. He wrapped up the month in style, scoring twice in City’s emphatic 5–1 triumph over Burnley.
Those goals took his overall tally to 133 for Manchester City — placing him among the club’s all-time top 10 scorers — and 93 in the Premier League, making him the highest-scoring Norwegian in the league’s history.
Reacting to the honour, Haaland said, “I’m really happy to win this award for a fourth time. It always means a lot. Thank you to everyone who voted for me — and to my teammates, coaches, and staff, because we do everything together.”
He added that September was an “important month” for the team, praising their unbeaten form and determination to “keep the same level” after the international break.
Haaland edged out Daichi Kamada (Crystal Palace), Yankuba Minteh (Brighton), Robin Roefs (Sunderland), Granit Xhaka, and Martin Zubimendi (Arsenal) to clinch the award.
Manchester City congratulated the striker, hailing his consistency and continued excellence.
