Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has disclosed that he is currently without a club after mutually parting ways with South African club Chippa United.
Speaking to SABC Metro FM, Nwabali said he has no deal lined up at the moment, explaining that the decision to terminate his contract was reached amicably.
He noted that both parties agreed to separate on good terms, hinting that after spending four years at the club, it was time for him to focus on the next phase of his career.
According to him, while his time at Chippa United was rewarding, growth sometimes requires players and managers alike to move on.

He stressed that personal happiness played a key role in his decision.
“To be honest with you, I don’t have a club or a contract in front of me.
“It’s an agreement that both parties will feel at peace; we wish each other well, and I can look forward to my career. I’ve been at this club for four years, and it’s really nice working here, but we all really need to move forward as players or managers.”
The 28-year-old recently lost his starting spot to Dumisani Msibi following his return from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), with Msibi recording four consecutive clean sheets in league matches.
However, Nwabali dismissed suggestions that the competition for the number one shirt prompted his exit.
He explained that he had been managing an injury sustained during a match against Orlando Pirates before departing for AFCON and that he was working to regain full fitness ahead of both the tournament and his return to club duties.
On returning from the continental competition, he said there was an understanding between him and the club chairman that he would be given time to rest after an intense schedule.
He described his relationship with the chairman as close and respectful, likening it to that of a father and son, and said discussions about his future were handled with mutual understanding.
Although acknowledging that the decision was difficult, Nwabali maintained that he ultimately chose what he believed was best for his career.
