The leader of Inkatha Freedom Party, Velenkosini Hlabisa has announced that his party has officially joined the African National Congress (ANC)’s government of national unity.
Hlabisa announced during a media briefing in Durban on Wednesday night. This is coming following IFP’s media briefing in Durban on June 12, 2024.
IFP secured 33 seats across the country and in two provincial legislatures.
Hlabisa assured citizens that the IFP would stay true to its identity and purpose, despite joining the government of unity.
