Akarachi Amadi, an Imo State lawmaker representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Constituency in the House of Representatives, has empowered his constituents with a N10 billion empowerment package.
The lawmaker rolled out empowerment packages comprising tractors, fertilisers, vehicles, freezers, rice, cash grants, transformers, among others, during the 2026 Mbaike Empowerment in Imo State on Sunday.
Traditional rulers, beneficiaries, government officials and supporters of the lawmakers were present at the empowerment programme.
According to the constituents, Amadi’s tenure reflects a commitment to people-centred governance. Since emerging as a lawmaker, Amadi has expanded educational opportunities for his constituents by providing scholarships, addressing community infrastructure needs, empowering the constituency’s youth, and promoting economic development.
One of the beneficiaries of Amadi’s scholarship opportunities, Chinonyem Godfrey, said the lawmaker has sponsored her education, along with that of many other students in the constituency.
“I am one of the witnesses, and I’m here to testify on the good days of Honourable Akarachi Etinosa Amadi. It all started with the JAMB registration, up to the 100-level school fees and acceptance fee. I am not the only one; there are many of us here whose stories tell the same testimony,” said Godfrey.

“Today we are celebrating not just what you have done, but who you are, the impact you’ve made, and the love you have for the people of Mbitolu Iketero. As the beneficiaries of the Akarachi Etinosa scholarship programme, we pledge our full support in all that you do, and we pray that God will continue to bless you and grant you wisdom and knowledge to continue reaching out and touching lives.”
Amadi was elected to represent Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Constituency at 28, becoming one of the youngest members of the 10th National Assembly. The lawmaker, now 31, said he has been able to fulfil the promises he made to his constituents before he was elected.
“I remember when we were campaigning around the 63 autonomous communities of the federal constituency, we went around and we spoke to our people. We went around, and we identified the needs of our people. And we made promises,” said Amadi.
“Indeed, this is the empowerment that I can say that all the promises that we have made to the 63 communities of Mbaitolu/Ikeduru by the special grace of God, we have been able to achieve 100%. We are going to be shining examples for all our youth to follow as they enter the political space.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, who spoke through his representative at the event, described him as an exemplary and selfless leader.
