“The motorcycle has since been recovered,” he said.

He added that further interrogation led to the recovery of a pump-action rifle and a machete from the suspects’ hideout in Okwu-Uratta, within Owerri North Local Government Area.

The suspects are to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and to track down other accomplices.

The Commissioner of Police, Audu Bosso, reiterated the command’s commitment to maintaining security, particularly during and after the Easter period.

Residents were urged to provide timely and credible information to assist law enforcement agencies in combating crime.
