Disaster Management teams have worked assidiously all through the night responding to various victims of the devastating flooding in KwaZulu-natal. 

The heavy downpour which have battered the province have led to mudslides, structural collapses and flooded roads.

The SANDF has also been drafted in to assist , following reports that several people have already been killed while others are unaccounted for. Below are some pictures of incidents.

Already, the KwaZulu-Natal education department has advised that schools situated in areas affected by flooding to not operate on Tuesday.

In a memo issued on Monday night, the department said this was because they took the safety of learners and educators very seriously.

The latest level 5 weather warning from the SA Weather Service indicates that heavy rains, and flooding will continue into the evening today [Monday] in most parts of the province, especially the eastern parts.
