Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has ordered the restoration of international internet access across the country, state media reported on Monday.
However, officials have not yet disclosed the timeline or technical plan for reconnecting the nation.
The order ends an 87-day digital blockade.
The internet observatory NetBlocks reported that the blackout cut off most citizens from the World Wide Web. Only a few people bypassed the restrictions using expensive, advanced VPNs.
Authorities originally cut internet access on January 8 to suppress anti-government protests.

Connectivity briefly recovered in February, but officials imposed a second blackout on February 28 following U.S. and Israeli military strikes.
Iran routinely enforces strict digital censorship and blocks thousands of websites.
During this recent conflict, the government relied on its domestic intranet to run public services and host online school curricula.
