Gaza’s Ministry of Health has reported that at least nine people were killed and several others injured in an Israeli airstrike in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, on Saturday.

This marks the deadliest attack since the ceasefire took effect in January.

Medical teams transferred the wounded, including those in critical condition, to Gaza’s Indonesian Hospital for treatment.

The Israeli military stated that the strike was aimed at two individuals they described as “terrorists” who were allegedly operating a drone that posed a risk to their forces.

Despite the ceasefire, Israeli military operations in Gaza have not stopped, though casualties have been lower in recent months. However, this latest incident has raised fears of further violence.

Residents of Beit Lahia say the attack has left them shaken, with many worried about renewed hostilities.
