The Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) has suspended its nationwide strike 84 days after the industrial action commenced.
The union announced the decision at the conclusion of its expanded National Executive Council (NEC) emergency meeting held in Abuja on Friday.

JOHESU convened the meeting to assess the outcome of the conciliation talks between the union and the Nigerian government, which took place on Thursday at the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.
In a communiqué issued after the meeting, the union said it suspended the strike to allow for the implementation of the agreed Nigerian government–JOHESU terms of settlement.
