Canadian singer Justin Bieber officially released his seventh studio album, “Swag,” on Friday, marking his return to music after a three-year break.

The 21-track album, totalling 54 minutes, dropped just hours after Bieber gave fans a sneak peek on social media.

“Swag” follows his last single, “Honest,” a duet with Don Toliver released over three years ago, and his previous album, “Justice,” from 2021.

The 31-year-old pop superstar collaborated with several US rappers on the new project, including Gunna, Lil B, and Cash Cobain.

Global Excitement and Personal Journey Reflected

Bieber built anticipation for the release by sharing a video on Instagram Thursday, showcasing “Swag’s” tracklist on a large screen in New York City’s Times Square.

Posters for the album also appeared this week in Reykjavik, Iceland, where US media reported Bieber finalised the album in April.

His return to the spotlight comes after a period of withdrawal from the media, during which fans, affectionately known as “Beliebers,” eagerly awaited new music.

In 2022, Bieber had to cancel the remainder of his world tour after revealing he was suffering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a neurological disorder that caused partial facial paralysis.

The immediate global trend of #SWAGOUTNOW on X (formerly Twitter) shortly after the album’s release highlights the immense excitement among his fan base.

Bieber, who shot to fame at just 15 with his 2010 hit “Baby,” has evolved from a teen pop sensation to an R&B artist. In August 2024, he and his wife, Hailey Bieber, announced the birth of their first child, Jack Blues.
