The Kaduna State Police Command has implemented wide-ranging security measures across the state in preparation for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, reassuring residents of a calm and secure festive period.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, explained that tactical units, intelligence officers, and other personnel have been stationed at key locations, including Eid prayer grounds, markets, leisure centres, and major highways.
According to the police, the deployment is intended to prevent any security lapses before, during, and after the festivities.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, affirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring a smooth, trouble-free celebration, urging residents to cooperate fully with security agencies.

As part of its safety guidelines, the police reaffirmed a strict prohibition on the use of fireworks and other explosive items throughout the celebrations. Parents and guardians were particularly advised to discourage their children and wards from engaging in such acts, warning that offenders would be arrested and prosecuted.
The Command also appealed to the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activities, individuals, or objects to the nearest police station or appropriate security authority.
While congratulating Muslim faithful on successfully completing the Ramadan fast, CP Muhammad offered prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity in Kaduna State and across Nigeria, and wished residents a joyful and incident-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
