Former US vice president Kamala Harris has suggested she could “possibly” run for president again, saying she is “not done” with politics.

In a BBC interview set to air on Sunday, the 61-year-old — who replaced Joe Biden as the 2024 Democratic presidential candidate but lost to Donald Trump — said she has not yet decided whether to launch another bid for the White House.

“I have lived my entire career in service, and it’s in my bones,” Harris said, adding that her grandnieces would “see a female president in their lifetime, for sure.”

Her remarks mark the strongest indication yet that she could seek the Democratic nomination in 2028.

The interview comes after the release of her memoir last month, in which Harris criticised Biden’s decision to run for a second term and accused his administration of offering her little support — and at times actively undermining her work as vice president.
