England manager Thomas Tuchel has announced that Harry Kane is fully fit and will start Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against Latvia.

As reported by Sky Sports on Monday, the 32-year-old striker was unexpectedly named on the bench for England’s 3–0 win over Wales after missing training sessions due to an ankle problem.

Although he did not play in that match, Tuchel has now confirmed that Kane has completely recovered.

“It’s simple with Harry—he’s fit and ready to play. We made the right decision,” Tuchel said during his pre-match press conference.

“He’s been outstanding in training and is ready to go. I see no reason why he can’t complete the full 90 minutes.”

Tuchel also provided an update on Ollie Watkins, who picked up an injury against Wales and has since withdrawn from the squad.

“Unfortunately, Ollie had to leave camp,” he said. “The pain was too severe for him to continue training, and he’s now receiving treatment at his club.”
