Kenya’s Sheila Chepkirui claimed victory in her New York Marathon debut on Sunday, finishing in an impressive time of 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 35 seconds.
The race saw a dominant Kenyan sweep, with defending champion Hellen Obiri coming in just 14 seconds later to secure second place, and Vivian Cheruiyot completing the podium in 2:25:21.
