Following deadly Russian missile strikes on Kyiv that claimed seven lives, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy renewed his urgent appeal for Western partners to provide more air-defence systems and demonstrate greater resolve.
The fatal attacks, which occurred on Friday and killed victims including the widow of a Chernobyl plant operator, highlighted the ongoing threat ahead of the fourth winter of the war.
Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine “needs support that saves lives.”
Separately, Ukraine also reported that Russian attacks killed four people in its southern region on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Ukraine claimed responsibility for attacking a Russian oil refinery near Moscow in the Ryazan region, a move intended to reduce the enemy’s missile capabilities.
The local Russian governor confirmed that 25 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight, causing a fire at an enterprise from falling debris, but reported no casualties.
