Kyle Walker Joins AC Milaxn on Loan from Manchester City

England defender Kyle Walker has joined AC Milan on loan from Manchester City, the two clubs confirmed on Friday. The 34-year-old right-back will spend the rest of the season with the Italian side, with an option to make the move permanent in the summer.

Walker, who has faced a challenging season at City, had not started a match since their derby loss to Manchester United in December. The transfer marks the end of his seven-year stint with Manchester City, during which he won six Premier League titles and the Champions League under Pep Guardiola.

“Signing for this incredible club in 2017 was a dream come true,” Walker wrote in a heartfelt message on social media. “Winning 17 trophies, including the Champions League and the treble, is something I could only have dreamt of as a child.”

Walker joins an AC Milan team currently sitting eighth in Serie A but thriving in Europe, with five consecutive Champions League victories. At the San Siro, he will reunite with fellow England internationals Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

“I’m delighted and proud to sign for AC Milan,” Walker said. “This club has such a rich history, and it’s an honour to join. I can’t wait to wear the Rossoneri shirt and get started. Forza Milan!”

Walker’s arrival will help Milan address the absence of Emerson Royal, who suffered an injury earlier this week that could sideline him for two months.

Meanwhile, Manchester City continues its January rebuild, having signed Egypt forward Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt for an initial £59 million. Marmoush joins defenders Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis as the latest additions to Guardiola’s squad.
