The Lagos State Government has launched a digital platform to simplify the process of obtaining physical planning permits across the state.

Kehinde Osinaike, General Manager of the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA), announced the initiative in a statement on Thursday by the ministry’s Director of Public Affairs, Abimbola Emdin-Umeh.

The platform, called the Electronic Physical Planning Permit Processing System, is designed to modernise and accelerate the approval of building permits.

Residents, property developers, and other stakeholders can now submit and track their applications online from anywhere.

Osinaike said the digital system is expected to speed up and simplify permit approvals while reducing delays associated with manual processing.

He added that the initiative would enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the administration of physical planning, while ensuring all building developments comply with approved regulations and standards.

The LASPPPA chief described the platform as a reflection of the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for better service delivery.

He encouraged residents, developers, and investors to make use of the online system.

Osinaike said the initiative forms part of Lagos State’s broader strategy to build a smart, digitally driven governance system capable of addressing the needs of the state’s growing population.
