Lala Akindoju fires Pastor David Ibiyeomie

Popular Nollywood actress, Lala Akindoju has reacted to Pastor David Ibiyeomie’s attack on controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze.


Ifedayo Olarinde, who is popularly known as Daddy Freeze, is a Nigerian-Romanian broadcaster and radio talk show host. 44 year Freeze, started his radio career in 1996 with the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), Ibadan and joined Cool FM in 2001 working in radio presenting, television and general entertainment. He is a senior broadcaster at Cool FM Lagos. He is also an event compere who has hosted a number of music concerts, comedy shows and Nollywood premieres in Nigeria, Ghana and the United Kingdom.


Ibiyeomie had called Daddy Freeze a bastard, threatening to deal with him for criticising Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel. The 57 year old preacher also in the viral video from his Sunday service, the Port Harcourt-based Pastor also cursed the day the OAP was born.

Pastor David Ibiyeomie is a Nigerian televangelist, the founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. His statement has since stirred reactions from Nigerians.
Reacting on her Twitter page, Lala Akindoju berated Pastor Ibiyomie for his statement, adding that he misrepresented Christians and the gospel of Christ with his actions.


She wrote: “Meanwhile I just watched the video of that pastor. It is wrong, SO WRONG! First as a supposed Christian, then as leader and finally as human being. I’m even more shocked at the congregation echoing the insults.
“Please that is not what the Bible preaches, this is why it is important to know God for yourself, read your bible yourself and don’t get blinded by religion.
“I am very ashamed of him only because he has misrepresented the gospel of Jesus. Proverbs 18 is a good scripture to meditate on today.”


Kemi “Lala” Akindoju is the Nigerian actress who won an Africa Magic trailbrailzer award for her role in the film adaptation of Dazzling Mirage. She started her acting career in 2005 from stage performance before venturing into feature films and had since then won awards like, the Future Awards 2010, “Actor of the year”, the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards as she won the trailblazer award and most Promising Actor award at the 11th Africa Movie Academy Awards.


Also, Ajuri Ngelale, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Public Affairs, has reacted to Pastor David Ibiyeomie’s attack on Daddy Freeze.


Ajuri Ngelale took to his twitter page to condemn the threats of Pastor David to kill Daddy Freez saying that isn’t the way to go about issues like this.

Note that all these started when Daddy Freeze lambasted Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church for saying women should submit to their husbands which preceded Pastor David Ibiyeomie caling the media personality a bastard and threatening to kill him.
