The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed several establishments across parts of Lagos over persistent noise pollution and other environmental violations.
The enforcement, carried out by officials of the agency, affected businesses located in Satellite Town, Ikotun–Idimu Road, Ejigbo and Egbe Road areas of the state.
Among the establishments sealed were Power Exploits Ministry International, Kafe Mall, Mingles Hotel, Ojei Golden Gate, and Fernando Global Products Limited.

According to LASEPA, the affected premises — which include a church, a mall, a hotel, a bar and a shoe manufacturing company — were shut down for failing to comply with the agency’s environmental regulations, particularly those relating to excessive noise emissions and other environmental standards.
Speaking on the development, the General Manager of LASEPA, Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed the agency’s zero-tolerance stance on environmental violations.

Ajayi explained that the enforcement action became necessary after the establishments repeatedly ignored warnings and monitoring efforts by the agency.
He noted that noise pollution remains a major environmental concern, warning that it poses serious risks to public health, safety and the overall well-being of residents.
The LASEPA boss added that the agency remains committed to protecting the environment and ensuring that businesses across Lagos operate within approved environmental limits.

He also urged business owners to obtain the required environmental permits, install proper noise control systems and strictly comply with environmental regulations to avoid sanctions.
The agency further warned that it would continue monitoring activities across the state, stressing that individuals or organisations found violating environmental laws would face the appropriate legal consequences.
