European champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Nice at the Parc des Princes, maintaining their two-point lead atop Ligue 1.
Substitute Goncalo Ramos proved the decisive factor, heading home powerfully from a corner in the 94th minute.
The goal, which followed a fine save forced by Ramos just moments earlier, broke the deadlock after PSG had struggled to convert their overwhelming possession into points.
Following this win, coach Luis Enrique’s focus now shifts to their upcoming Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
Elsewhere, Marseille moved into second place after earning a 1-0 victory away at Auxerre.

England midfielder Angel Gomes scored the winner after half an hour, and Marseille held on for the three points despite being reduced to 10 men when left-back Ulisses Garcia was sent off in the 65th minute.
Marseille will host Italian side Atalanta in Champions League action on Wednesday.
In a disappointing result for Monaco, they suffered their first home loss of the season, falling 1-0 to Paris FC. Nigerian international Moses Simon scored the only goal in the 53rd minute, bringing Monaco’s promising four-match unbeaten streak to an end.
Monaco must now prepare for a tough Champions League trip to Norway to face Bodo Glimt.
