Liberian Vice President Koung Arrives Bayelsa State for Governor Diri

The Vice President of Liberia, Jeremiah Kpan Koung arrived Yenogoa on Tuesday to witness the second-term inauguration of Senator Douye Diri as Governor.

Governor Diri, alongside Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and other senior government officials, received vice president Kpan Koung and his entourage at the Bayelsa International Airport.

Vice president Kpang Koung will witness the inauguration/swearing in of Governor Douye Diri and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for a second term.

Governor Diri thanked the Liberian vice president for honouring his invitation, adding that the relationship between Liberia and Bayelsa just started, especially in the oil and gas sector.

In response, Kpang Koung appreciated the governor for his hospitality, expressing his pleasure for being in Bayelsa State.

Mr Koung, noted that his visit will further deepen the unity between the State and Liberia and by extension, the federal government of Nigeria.
