Football Club Lorient head coach Olivier Pantaloni will leave at the end of the season, citing a breakdown in trust with the club’s leadership.
The 59-year-old, who took charge in 2024 after the team’s relegation, guided the Breton side back to the top flight by winning the second division title.

Lorient have since impressed in their return to Ligue 1, currently sitting ninth with six matches left in the campaign.
Explaining his decision, Pantaloni said he no longer felt confident working under the current conditions, pointing to ongoing concerns about the club hierarchy’s trust in him.
“There’s one main reason — the lack of trust from the management since I arrived,” Pantaloni told local newspaper Ouest-France.
“I still feel this distrust, and therefore I refuse to work under these conditions.”
