French President Emmanuel Macron stated that any resolution to the war in Ukraine must involve both Ukrainians and Europeans.
His comments were made on X following an agreement between the U.S. and Russia to hold a summit on August 15 to discuss ending the conflict.
Macron emphasised that Europeans must be part of the solution because their security is at stake.
To reinforce this position, he confirmed that he had spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to align their efforts.
