French President Emmanuel Macron issued a stern warning on Monday, stating that the escalating conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran poses a direct threat to European security.
Highlighting the danger of a “conflagration” at Europe’s borders, Macron noted that the current instability is exacerbated by the fact that Iran’s nuclear and ballistic infrastructure remains functional despite the recent outbreak of hostilities.
In response to this shifting geopolitical landscape, the French President unveiled a revised strategy for France’s nuclear deterrence.

He emphasised that the war, which commenced on Saturday, has fundamentally altered the regional power balance, necessitating a robust and modernised defensive posture to protect French and European interests from potential spillover.
