A man has been charged with ten counts of attempted murder following a mass stabbing on a train heading to London, according to British Transport Police on Monday.
The 32-year-old, identified as Anthony Williams from Peterborough in central England, also faces charges of actual bodily harm and knife possession in relation to the incident that occurred on Saturday evening.
Additionally, he has been charged with another count of attempted murder and possession of a knife connected to a separate incident in London on the same day, as stated in the announcement.
Tracy Easton of the Crown Prosecution Service said that the investigation involved substantial evidence, including CCTV footage.

“We know the devastating impact the events on Saturday’s train have had and how the incident shocked the entire country. Our thoughts remain with all those affected,” she said.
Williams is scheduled to appear in court in Peterborough later on.
Initially, ten individuals were taken to the hospital, with four being discharged shortly thereafter.
One of the victims of the attack, a member of the railway staff who attempted to intervene, is currently in a life-threatening condition.
