An explosion at a Waldo’s supermarket in Hermosillo, in northern Mexico’s Sonora State, has tragically killed at least 23 people and injured 11 others.

Governor Alfonso Durazo confirmed the toll, noting that several minors were among the victims.

While local public security authorities have ruled out a violent attack, Governor Durazo has ordered a comprehensive and transparent investigation to determine the cause of the incident and find those responsible.
